The mission we serve with, which has been known in the past as The First Day Society, The Adult and Sunday School Union, The American Sunday School Union, and (most recently) American Missionary Fellowship, has changed its name to InFaith. As missionaries, we walk in faith daily, depending on the Lord to meet all our needs as we serve Him right here in the United States.

InFaith missionaries are called to a variety of ministries around the nation, but we are all united in our faith in Christ and our desire to tell others about Him. In changing our name, we have not changed our core theology, our day-to-day ministry, or our focus on the United States. We have simply changed the way we present ourselves publicly, in the hope that we can better communicate what we do as a mission.

We want our name to be inviting for the current generation of Christians who we would like to join us. We hope that when you see the InFaith logo or hear our name, you will associate it with an active mission full of people who love Jesus and are passionate about sharing His love with others. We hope you will join us or continue to support us as a donor, prayer partner, volunteer, or missionary as we place our faith in Christ and follow His command to tell others about Him right here in the United States.

For those of you who have supported our ministry over the years, please know that what we do has not changed. If you would like to support our work in the future, any gifts that you would have sent to American Missionary Fellowship for the camp or us you can now write out a check to InFaith and send it to the Home Office at the same address as before: InFaith / PO Box 370 / Villanova, PA 19085. For more information on the name change, please visit the national website at www.infaith.org.

Over seventy volunteers joined us this summer helping in the kitchen, as cabin leaders, on janitorial crews and in so many other areas of service. Many of these wonderful people have been with us for multiple summers while for others, this was their very first time serving the Lord with us. Some volunteered for the whole summer as summer missionaries while others were here for a week or two of camp. No matter how much time people gave to the ministry everyone came away from their experience with new stories to share of relationships that began or grew while they served here at Forward Bible Camp. One of our youngest cabin leaders this summer had this story to share:

“I was only able to be a cabin leader at the 2nd and 3rd grade camp. My cousin was a camper in my cabin (and of course she loved the experience she had at camp as a camper) anyway, I knew she had been to AWANA Sparks, Sunday school, and several different V.B.S programs. But I had not really uncovered where she was spiritually with Jesus Christ. I was always hoping that she would feel closer to me and God at camp. I never anticipated having the privilege of sharing the good news of what Jesus Christ did for EVERYONE on the WHOLE entire EARTH! I was able to have her ask me if I could and would pray with her about asking Jesus to be the Lord of her life. Then at my church’s VBS she really took the stories to heart. She wanted her bedtime story to be one from the Bible. I was so happy to see the look on my Uncle’s face when my cousin ran to him saying “Daddy, Daddy I asked Jesus into my heart.”
It was by far one of the most memorable times for me. Well, I LOVE Jesus and I hope and pray for the rest of the campers that they will learn to love Him as well. Thank you SO SO SO much for the experience I was able to have at camp this year as a cabin leader and as a camper.”

This cabin leader was only 13 years old and still she was able to see God use her to begin a relationship between her cousin and Jesus Christ. We saw so many stories like this one take root here at camp and we hope that you have been blessed to hear it from us. Thank you all for your part in making this summer a success!

Two years ago a young girl named Marita came to Forward Bible Camp. She was the daughter of a youth pastor and loved Jesus.

During the next school year her fifth grade class came to Forward for a team building camp. There were only a few children that had been to the camp before and most of the kids weren’t Christians. Marita enjoyed being the camper who knew what to do, and helped some of the other kids feel more comfortable. They all had a great time and most of them told us that they wanted to come back to camp during the summer. It was a little tense with some of the parents, but really cool.

In the Spring I asked Marita to make camp applications available to her classmates. I was surprised to hear that her teacher had let her out of class to visit other classrooms to invite kids to camp and hand out applications. I waited for the repercussions from the administration, but nothing happened. Several kids ended up coming to camp from the school.

After school started up again I heard a story that I need to let you hear. I asked Marita to share it in her own words.

“Last summer my friend Emma and I attended Forward Bible Camp. While we were there she accepted Christ. Then when school started again we ended up in the same class. When we were in science our teacher was letting us decorate our folders and Emma and I were singing some of the camp songs. When our other friend Maddy asked about what we were singing, we explained what the songs meant. Then she asked how to accept God. When we told her, she asked if we could help her accept Christ. After we helped her, Emma and I were so happy we couldn’t even explain it.”

Maddy was at church for the first time last Sunday with Marita and Emma.

God’s love is real and reaches kids in awesome ways.
