God is truly amazing. We had a staff this summer that really understood the mission aspect of FBC. They never complained about the living conditions or the long hours of sacrificial service. They loved meeting the campers and enjoyed helping them meet Jesus and grow in their Christian walk. It was and still is a blessing to know them and work alongside them at camp.
Tami and I are still living in Greenwood. It’s been a blessing to live in such a nice place while we serve the Lord. We’ve had an opportunity to open our home to home Bible studies, host visitors, and just enjoy peaceful evenings after our days of ministry. At this point we aren’t sure how long we’ll be able to stay. With construction slowing to a crawl and the camp ministry requiring more and more time, our income isn’t enough to maintain our home. The bank may modify our loan and make it so that we can stay, but if not we’ll need to rethink where God wants us to live. We are honestly open to whatever He wants. All we know is that ministry is the joy of our lives and we feel strongly that He wants us to stay at FBC. Just pray.
Our family is doing well. Stephen is still at KLOVE and raising our three grandkids. I can’t believe how fast they grow up. Charissa is raising our other two grandkids and helping out at camp. Bethany is still an education specialist helping home-schooled families and she just bought a home in Lincoln. And Alisa is working at the mall and attending Sierra College. We love them all so much and we’re so proud of them. God is so good. Family is a great idea.
Tami is still the secretary of Mother Lode Church where we attend and still takes care of the camp’s internet presence and Facebook updates. Tami has always been able to simplify and organize our complicated days. She supported me in construction and helps me make it through the demands of ministry. I am so thankful for the wife God gave me almost 33 years ago. He is so wise. When I was only interested in a beautiful girlfriend, He was preparing us for a life of ministry together. Wow!
We’re looking forward to another year of ministry. Thank you so much for those of you that share with us financially, it’s your financial support that enables Tami and me to be involved at camp. Our hope is that more people will see the amazing things that God is doing at camp and want to become financial partners with us.
Pray for us as we seek God’s will and direction.
