New Theme for 2012

With 2012 being a summer Olympic year, we are looking forward to having a theme based on the games. Olympians are great athletes that put years into their sport to do their best for the next big event. We, as Christians, are in a similar event. We are in the middle of a big race.

Philippians 3:12-14 ¹² Not that I have already obtained it or have already become perfect, but I press on so that I may lay hold of that for which also I was laid hold of by Christ Jesus. ¹³ Brethren, I do not regard myself as having laid hold of it yet; but one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and reaching forward to what lies ahead, ¹⁴ I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.”

For this theme, we are going to have daily medal ceremonies, a new challenge course for our teams to get through, and a climbing wall that stands like a tree at 40 feet tall. We are excited about the theme, the staff, the campers, and the summer as a whole. The dates for your camp are available on the website. We’ll see you this summer.
